Training Abstract:
It isn’t enough to have the best firewalls installed or good cyber-practices in place to protect the digital assets of a port. The threat horizon is in a constant state of change, which means that leadership must be prepared to deal with them before they happen.
The problem is that many leaders approach this challenge by starting in the present—‘here’s what we currently face’—and extrapolate into the future with a plan for change. More often than not, the first thing they encounter as they start to execute their plan is, ‘Well, that’s nice, but that’s not how we do things here,’ and everything stops.
A far more effective and compelling technique is called ‘Reverse-Engineering the Future,’ a process that starts in the future with a vision of what could be, rather than what is, and then reverse-engineers back to the present, identifying all the obstacles that would otherwise stymie forward progress.
In this two-hour program, we introduce the framework for Reverse Engineering the Future and explain how it specifically addresses the very real challenge of cyberthreats to the port—and how to create a strategy for dealing with these threats before they happen.
All participants will receive a copy of the presenter’s eBook, Reverse-Engineering the Future—a Prescription for Change Leadership.
